Built in 1853 and originally home of "Sacramento No. 3," The Firehouse was the first building in Old Sacramento to be restored and is designated a historical landmark. Entertainment: If you are seeking a private room for a small gathering, the Wine Cellar Room I offers a perfect solution. Mahogany abounds with wine bottles lining one end of the room, a stained glass window on another wall and period artwork featured along the remaining walls. This charming room can easily accommodate up to 16 people.
Directions:
The Firehouse is located in Old Sacramento on Second Street between K and L Streets. Old Sacramento is downtown and is bordered by Interstate 5, Capitol Mall and the Sacramento River. Take the J Street exit off I-5. From the Sacramento Convention Center:
Go 1 block north to I Street. Turn left and go until you dead end at the Railroad Museum. Turn left, the Firehouse is 2 1/2 blocks on the right.
From San Francisco:
I-80 East to the Capitol City Freeway to I-5 North (Redding). Take J Street exit and follow signs to Old Sacramento.
From Lake Tahoe:
Hwy 50 West to the Capitol City Freeway to I-5 North (Redding). Take J Street exit and follow signs to Old Sacramento.
From Stockton:
I-5 North (Redding) to J Street exit. Follow signs to Old Sacramento.
From Cal Expo/Arden Fair:
Hwy 160 (Downtown Sacramento) - 12th Street to I or L Street to Old Sacramento or Capitol Freeway (Downtown Sacramento) to I-5 North (Redding) to J Street exit and follow signs to Old Sacramento.
From Roseville:
Hwy 80 west towards Sacramento. South on I-5 to J Street. Follow signs into Old Sacramento. |
